Portfolio: Negative Space
‘Negative Space’ encompasses art inspired by an improvisational exercise my former dance mentor loved. As a pair, one dancer would freeze and the other would move around and through the space created between their partner’s form. Like planning the spacing for a large cast performance, Serena uses acrylic paint to dance the viewer’s eye from edge to edge.
